Rolex 5513 Milsub
Case: 2.9XXXXX serial. Previously polished yet thick and even case. Caseback with matching serial engraving inside as well as full issuance engravings intact.
Dial: Excellent condition non-serif original circle T dial with warm patinated original tritium.
Hands and insert: The handset has been manufactured in-house to OEM specifications. Sixty-minute graduated insert manufactured by crown art customs to OEM Milspec specifications. The handset and bezel insert are not original to the watch.
Movement: Cal 1520 movement was just adjusted and runs within after-sales tolerances. The watch was recently fitted with new gaskets and a fresh TrueDome® D19. It passes a pressure test at 5 bar.
Bracelet: Watch comes on phoenix admiralty grey NATO strap.
Accessories: This watch comes with Rolex service paperwork from Rolex Bexley Service Center in the UK as well as the famed Henry Hudson correspondence letters detailing the watch’s issuance to the Royal Navy.
Notes: This watch is from the collection of a world renown Milsub enthusiast and friend. Roughly 1200 examples were manufactured between 1972 through 1978 and an estimate of only 100-150 remain accounted for. It is incredibly hard to find a Milsub, particularly one with accompanying Henry Hudson letters.
This is a fantastic example of one of the earlier 5513 Milsubs issued to the Royal Navy and has the potential to be "full spec" once sourcing genuine handset and insert.
Please note paperwork and images have been partially altered to preserve confidentiality as well as numeric security for the watch. For serious buyers wanting unobstructed photos please contact us directly at info@truepatina.com
