Rolex 5513 Milsub

Case: 2.9XXXXX serial. Incredible unpolished case. Caseback with matching serial engraving inside as well as full issuance engravings intact.

Dial: Excellent condition non-serif original circle T dial with warm patinated original tritium. The handset has been manufactured in-house to OEM specifications. Sixty minute graduated insert manufactured by crown art customs to OEM Milspec specifications. The handset and insert are not original to the watch.

Movement: Cal 1520 movement was just serviced in house at True Patina 11/24.  The watch runs strongly within COSC spec and is water tight with fresh gaskets and a TrueDome D19.

Bracelet: Watch comes on newer phoenix admiralty grey NATO strap.

Notes: This watch is from the collection of a world renown milsub enthusiast and friend. Roughly 1200 examples were manufactured between 1972 through 1978 and an estimate of only 100-150 remain accounted for. It is incredibly hard to find a milsub, let alone an unpolished example.

 

This is a fantastic example of one of the earlier Milsubs issued to the Royal Navy and has the potential to be "full spec" once sourcing genuine handset and insert.
