This strap is crafted from a pair of 12.5-ounce Levi's Vintage Clothing (LVC) jeans made from Cone Mills White Oak denim. This particular denim is unsanforized, meaning it is designed to shrink to fit. The original jeans were soaked once, so these straps are pre-shrunk, although the denim itself was unworn. Levi's 501 is often regarded as the archetype from which many jeans have been inspired, and the brand’s long-standing association with Cone Mills is a significant part of its history. Unfortunately, Cone Mills closed its iconic White Oak denim plant in 2017, ending a legacy of traditional denim craftsmanship. As a result, the last of the USA-made LVC 501s have become highly sought after in the denim community. This strap is supple and soft, and since it was soaked before cutting and sewing, it will not experience significant shrinkage if submerged. Stitching for this strap mirrors the color and thickness from the actual pair of Levi’s 501s from which the strap was derived.

** All raw denim will shrink slightly when washed and return to its former length with wear. Note that hotter water will cause greater amounts of shrinking.
*** These straps are all made to order to your specific instructed measurements. Please give us your lug width as well as your preferred 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock lengths in millimeters. If you are uncertain of length specifications, you can use the following as a rough guesstimate, however, you will need to specify your lug width at check out.

XS: 65/105. (6-6.5inch wrist)
S: 70/115 (6.5-7 inch wrist)
M: 75/125 (7-7.5 inch wrist)
L: 80/13 (7.5-8 inch wrist)
XL: 85/135 (8.5-9 inch wrist)
